Meadowsweet (spirea ulmaria)

Meadowsweet has a long history as a medicinal herb. The flower head contains salicylic acid, from which, aspirin can be obtained.

Meadowsweet is a large, flowering, herbaceous perennial  native to Europe and western Asia that typically grows to a height of 4 feet.
